Flowchart of the optimization process to find the best feature combination and tuning parameters of a classifier. This process is followed in the present work to find the optimal combination of metrics for use as input feature vector to a regularized quadratic classifier that has two tuning parameters. The optimization was terminated mostly because the maximal number (200 adopted in the present work) of iterations was reached.
