Nos. in columns labeled 1I/N–4C/N indicate expression fold change (negative for downregulation) with respect to the corresponding normoxic mice (N) after 1, 2, and 4 WK of CCH (C/N columns) or CIH (I/N columns), whereas nos. in columns labeled P(I1/N)–P(C4/I) are the P values of the significant differences when comparing the individual measurements at 1, 2, and 4 WK of the indicated treatments, using a heteroscedastic Student’s t-test. Note the opposite regulation with respect to normoxia and the statistical significance of the difference between the 2 hypoxic treatments [P(C1,2,4/I) <0.05].
