HET-C2 preferentially transfers glycolipids with headgroups consisting of a single uncharged sugar. B, comparison of HET-C2 and GLTP transfer of different glycolipids at 25 °C using fixed protein amounts (0.5 μg) as detailed in the supplemental material. In contrast to HET-C2, GTLP readily transfers glycolipids with charged and complex sugar headgroups. The data points were fit using a first order exponential fitting routine. All data points represent duplicate assays (average values).
