Schematic showing (a) open and (b) closed microchannel set-ups. In the open microchannel set-up, a PDMS reservoir is used to contain solution. In the closed microchannel set-up, a PDMS lid confines solution to the BCB microchannel. Holes through the PDMS lid facilitate filling and emptying the microchannel.
