Extracellular H2O2 generated by ecSOD localized at caveolae/lipid rafts via HBD induces oxidative inactivation of DEP1 and PTP1B in these microdomains, thereby promoting VEGF-induced VEGFR2 phosphorylation, which may contribute to EC migration and proliferation in vitro as well as angiogenesis in vivo.
