Raman spectrum of a saturated solution of (μ-edt)[Fe(CO)3]2 in acetonitrile focusing on A) the ν(Fe-CO)/δ(Fe-C=O) and B) the ν(C=O) regions. The peaks in the spectra are labeled according to the number of modes predicted by group theory in the ν(Fe-CO)/δ(Fe-C=O) and ν(C=O) regions, respectively. Peak “B” does not correspond to a signal of (μ-edt)[Fe(CO)3]2 as indicated by the absence of this signal in the solid state Raman spectra (cf. Figure 4). The spectrum was obtained by exciting the samples at 568 nm.
