Bath and pipette solutions were normal Ringer's solutions with 1 mmol l−1 Ca2+. (B) The presence of amiloride (100 μmol l−1) or (C) ATP (10 μmol l−1) in the pipette solution did not produce channel activity or affect activation by pipette suction.
