A perspective view in the plane of the horizontal canal is given in D that highlights the marked trend of horizontal canal nonplanarity. The datasets appear to have strong mutual resemblance: this is partly due to the gross alignment method employed; however, upon closer inspection, there is much variation in both canal orientation and morphology.
