Transport activity of hSERT Cys double mutants. hSERT C109A and Cys double mutant cDNAs were transiently transfected in HEK-293 cells as described under “Experimental Procedures.” After 48 h, the cells were assayed for [3H]5-HT transport activity. Nonspecific uptake was determined using 10 μm fluoxetine. The results represent means ± S.E. (error bars) from at least three separate experiments performed in triplicate.
