The phosphorylation levels of ERK 1/2, JNK, and P38-MAPK were increased by stimulation of IL-1β (10 ng/mL) for 30 minutes. Pretreatment with muscone (6.25–25 μmol/L) inhibited IL-1β-induced phosphorylation of ERK 1/2 and JNK in a dose-dependent manner. However, pretreatment with as much as 25 μmol/L muscone did not suppress phosphorylation of P38-MAPK.
