Time course of depolarizations following trauma. (A) The total number of depolarizations accumulated for each 6-hr time bin was divided by the number of patients recorded in the corresponding interval. This eliminated bias from the differing number of patients recorded at various times to yield mean rates that can be compared across time. All patients, including those without depolarizations, were included in the analysis. (B) Number of patients recorded in each 6 hr bin is shown.
