Calibration of ratio calculation on a vegetable oil and deionized water phantom. A line profile (shown as a box in (a)) in a single sagittal slice of the phantom provides a calibration between all-oil and all-water voxels when plotted from top to bottom of the image (b). A linear fit of the data gave IR=0.75*α+0.05(1−α) with R2=0.96 (P<0.01). Oil and water and signal intensities in the ratio image were 0.75±0.03 and 0.05±0.03, respectively.
