Disk diffusion assays were performed with 1 M diamide (A), 200 mM tellurite K2TeO3 (B) or 200 mM CuSO4 (C) in TSB medium. Quantitative analysis of growth inhibition is shown in the upper panels. The lower section shows representative results of stress sensitivity assays. Strains SA6 (SH1000/pMK4), SA30 (ΔcymR/pMK4) and SA31 (ΔcymR/pDIA5780) were used for complementation experiments. Results correspond to the mean values with standard deviations and are representative of at least three independent experiments.
