Reduced body weight and food intake in Orexin-Hap1−/− mice. A, Orexin-Hap1−/− mice grew more slowly than the control (WT or heterozygous Orexin-Hap1+/−) mice during the first 100 days. The WT, Orexin-Hap1+/−, and Orexin-Hap1−/− mice were all littermates. B, greatest body weight difference between Orexin-Hap1−/− and Orexin-Hap1+/− mice was seen at the age of 2–4 weeks.
