Molecules A of auxin are transported from compartment i to a neighbouring compartment at rates k which depend on the type of transport process. For apoplasts, rules R4 and R5 are assigned to apoplasts bordered on both sides by cytoplasms. Rule R7 replaces rule R5 for the first apoplast, and R8 replaces R4 for the final apoplast, which are bordered by the source and collecting agar block respectively.
