High dietary NaCl intake is associated with increased urinary levels of UTP and the ATP hydrolytic product, ADP. Spontaneous collections of urine were taken in WT mice fed control or high-NaCl diets, and concentrations of ATP, UTP, ADP, and UDP were measured; n = 5 mice/group.
