Effect of hexadecylphosphocholine on lipid composition of membrane fractions in HepG2 cells. Cholesterol and sphingomyelin (SM) levels were determined in both raft and non-raft membrane fractions after cell incubation with 25 µM hexadecylphosphocholine (HePC) for 1, 12 and 24 h. Results represent the mean ± SEM of two independent experiments conducted in triplicate. *P < 0.005 when compared with control values.
