The effect of cyclosporin A on T- cell activation at a concentration of 50 ng/ml. Isolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (1×106 cells/ml) from normal controls and patients with Behcet’s disease were stimulated with PMA/ionomycin for 6 h in the presence of CsA (50 ng/ml). Cells were analyzed using FACS. The expression of CD69 by CD4+ and CD8+ T cells from (A) normal controls and (B) BD patients was not inhibited by CsA (50 ng/ml). Data are shown representative of five independent experiments.
