Fractions 1–13 (250 μl each) were collected from the top to the bottom of a sucrose gradient after overnight ultracentrifugation. A 20 μl aliquot of each fraction was analysed by SDS/PAGE. Upper panel: separation of the Rho*–Gte complex from excess Rho*. Fractions containing the highest concentrations of the Rho*–Gte complex are indicated with *.
