Chordin (A and B) and BMP4 (C and D) expression and secretion were quantified in cell lysates (A and C) and in media (B and D) by ELISA as described in Methods. BMP4 expression in media was higher in Epim^–/– versus WT myofibroblasts, although the difference was not significant (P = 0.058). *P < 0.05.
