Microtubule shrinkage in different conditions

Microtubules were assembled from GTP-tub (65 μm) at room temperature. Microtubule shrinkage rates were measured either during spontaneous catastrophes (control) or after chamber perfusion with PEM buffer alone or PEM buffer containing 65 μm GDP-tub as indicated.
