The variation of the cattle admixture in domestic yak populations using an allele frequency-based admixture analysis (mYcattle) and a model-based Bayesian clustering method (Qcattle). Note that the Bazhou yak, sampled from north part of the Xinjiang province of China, were originally introduced from the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau (Wiener et al. 2003 and references therein), and therefore this population was classified into the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau group in this study.
