Angiopoietin 1 (Ang-1) enhances the association between pericyte and blood vessel area. The area of each blood vessel covered by pericyte (fractional pericyte area, A) is increased by Ang-1 but is not changed between enhanced green fluorescent protein (eGFP) or vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).
