Close-up view of the WlbB active site. For this figure, the two structures described in this report were superimposed, and hydrogens were added to the C-3' amino group of the sugar substrate. The green dashed line represents the hypothetical approach of the lone pair of electrons on the amino nitrogen towards the si face of acetyl-CoA. The black dashed lines do not specifically imply hydrogen bonds, but merely indicate distances of 2.2 Å to 2.9 Å between the hydrogens on the C-3' nitrogen and either Oδ1 of Asn 84 or the sulfur of CoA.
