NOTE: These numbers are slightly different from those reported in Thompson et al. (2003) because of early study termination and because we only used participants with complete covariate information. We repeated the analyses reported in Sections 2.2, 3.1, and 3.2 using Thompson and colleagues’ final dataset, and results were nearly identical.
