RNA was extracted and mRNA levels of TLR4 and GusB, a control gene, were quantified by RT-PCR as described in Materials and Methods. Levels of TLR4 mRNA is expressed as the ratio of TLR4 copies normalized to copies of gusB mRNA. Data are mean ± SEM of triplicate determinations.
