Deviations from random-coil chemical shifts for the Hα and HN resonances of investigated peptides and a model 3₁-helix (PP2) peptide (YGRKKRRQRRRP). A negative chemical shift difference indicates an upfield chemical shift compared to the random coil values. The deviations were not calculated for Nle¹⁰ of KKP. The deviations of Hα and HN chemical shifts of Arg^5,6,9 and Arg^4,5,8 of Tat1 and Tat2 (Tables 3S and 4S, Supplementary Materials), respectively, which are not unambiguously assigned, exist in random coil range (empty square).
