Deviations from random-coil chemical shifts for the Hα and HN resonances of investigated peptides and a model 31-helix (PP2) peptide (YGRKKRRQRRRP). A negative chemical shift difference indicates an upfield chemical shift compared to the random coil values. The deviations were not calculated for Nle10 of KKP. The deviations of Hα and HN chemical shifts of Arg5,6,9 and Arg4,5,8 of Tat1 and Tat2 (Tables 3S and 4S, Supplementary Materials), respectively, which are not unambiguously assigned, exist in random coil range (empty square).
