Effects of FPI and exercise on proteasome activity. Panel at A shows that exercise (FPI/Exc) reduced the FPI-induced elevation (FPI/Sed) of the chymotripsin like activity of proteasome. Exercise also reduced chymotripsin like activity in sham animals (Sham/Exc). Scatter plot at B reveals a positive correlation between the activity of proteasome and the level of carbonyl groups (N=19, p<0.05, r=0.68).
