Assay specificity was assessed by testing with the pathogens indicated. Assay sensitivity was assessed by determining the lowest dilution detected from serial dilutions for each reference HAdV strain tested (see the text for details). The corresponding TCID50 of the lowest dilution detected is indicated. The coinfections were not tested by a commercial method because they do not distinguish serotypes.
