Prostaspheres form acinar structures in immunocompromised mice. Whole prostaspheres were isolated, mixed with Matrigel and injected subcutaneously into mice either with or without UGSM. Glandular-like structures were recovered 8–12 weeks after subcutaneous implantation of whole prostaspheres (containing from 5 × 104 to 1 × 106 cells) suspended in Matrigel.
