12-Hydroxyeicosatetranoic acid (12(S)-HETE) increases cytokine protein secretion. 3T3-LI adipocytes were treated with 10 nmol/l 12(S)-HETE every 8 h for 48 h, and interleukin 6 (IL-6) and IL-12p40 concentrations in the culture medium were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
