Fig. 2 — Phylogenetic analysis of the divergent domains D1 and D2 sequences of the 28S rDNA for 71 sequences from Podosphaera and Cystotheca used as outgroup taxa. The tree is a phylogram of one of the 1 x 10⁴ MP trees with 128 steps, which was obtained by a heuristic search employing the random stepwise addition option of PAUP. Gaps were treated as missing data. Horizontal branch lengths are proportional to the number of nucleotide substitutions that were inferred to have occurred along a particular branch of the tree.
