Chemoattractants induced invasion of the OSCC cells. The metastatic potentials of paired OSCC cell lines (UM1/UM2, 1386Ln/Tu, and 686Ln/Tu) were evaluated using a transwell in vitro cell invasion assay as described in the Material and Methods section. The invasions for each cell lines were measured in the presence and absence of chemoattractant (10% FBS) in the lower chamber of the transwell. Statistically significantly differences in the invasions were observed for all 3 paired cell lines in the presence of chemoattractant (p<0.05). The result represents 3 independent experiments with quadruplicates of each measurement.
