The relaxation is relatively independent of iron and weakly related to τ. (b) Variation of amplitudes of long (decaying curves) and short (rising curves) T2 components with τ. Higher iron load and larger τ increases the contribution from short T2 species. Also, population inversion occurs at a shorter τ with increase in iron load.
