Black circles and grey triangles represent values for birds captured at higher elevations (RA) and lower elevations (LS), respectively. In analyses, we treated fat score as an ordinal variable. Residual TRIG represents values accounting for fat score, and residual TBW represents values accounting for body size (wing chord and sex). Slopes of the relationships between each variable and the relevant rainfall parameter appear in table 1.
