Positive ΔS2 values denote enhanced rigidity of the protein backbone on binding. Residues with negative ΔS2 values are white. The main chain of VEK-30 bound to K2Pg is shown as a green ribbon and the side chains of residues involved in interactions with K2Pg are represented as green sticks. Values of ΔS2 are presented in Fig. S4. The important binding sites in K2Pg are shown in spheres, as in Fig. 3A, and the color coding of spheres is the same as ΔS2.
