Transfection efficiency of D-SPM/pCIKLux complex at various weight-mixing ratios with 0.5 μg pCIKLux in COS-7 cells. PEI was used as the positive control. Luciferase expression was measured as RLU/mg protein after 48 h posttransfection in serum-free condition. Luciferase expressions significantly higher than PEI are denoted by asterisks (*) (P < .05) while from untreated are denoted by dagger (†) (P < .05). Data are presented as mean ± S. E.
