Western immunoblotting performed on whole-cell lysates from S. flexneri strain RMA2741 carrying Wzzi plasmids. Strains were grown and induced, and whole-cell lysates were detected with affinity-purified Wzz polyclonal antibodies. Each lane contained approximately 1 × 108 bacterial cells.
