Regardless of pharmaceutical equivalence and in vitro activity, all generics displayed significantly inferior bactericidal efficacy (P < 0.0001) or different pharmacodynamic behavior (Gaussian instead of sigmoid) compared with the innovator, thus lacking therapeutic equivalence.
