Whole-cell samples from haploid NR754 ΔlptD (pET2342lptD_{wt or mutant}) strains expressing wild-type (lane marked CCCC) or LptD Cys mutant proteins (Cys content marked above lanes) were subjected to nonreducing (Lower) and reducing (Upper) SDS/PAGE followed by LptD immunoblotting.
