Results of testing the null hypothesis of stochastic equality. A hypothesis tests was applied pairwise to C_t value distributions adjacent in initial template concentration. The extreme values of the distribution of the T-statistic under the null hypothesis are shown along with the T-statistic for adjacent distributions. The distributions, e.g. “2v1”, are labeled as in Table 1. In each test, the null distribution was simulated using 20,000 random permutations applied to the pooled data as described in [20]. In each test the calculated T-statistic fell outside of the range indicating that the p-value is less than 1/20000. In each case the null hypothesis is rejected with confidence.
