The fraction of the 818 genomes that meet gap benchmarks as a function of read length was calculated. The benchmarks were 762, 384, 192, 96, and 48 repeat-induced gaps. For example, assuming reads of 150nt, Inline graphic50% of the genomes can be assembled with fewer than 96 gaps.
