EPR spectra of site-directed spins labels attached to positions 281–305 in human vimentin. Spectra are normalized to the same number of spins by double integration of the SDS-solubilized sample. The initiation of the normal heptad broadening pattern begins with residue 302 (an a position), with 305 being a d position. The spectrum of position 305 was previously published (Hess et al., 2001).
