Whole cell lysates of mesangial RhoGDI (−/−) or wt (+/+) cells were analyzed by Western blotting for Rac1, Cdc42, RhoA, and actin (for protein normalization), followed by densitometric analysis. Typical Western blot results are shown in the lower panels. The densitometric results are given as normalized GTPase expression levels in RhoGDI (−/−) as a percentage relative to that in RhoGDI (+/+) cells. Results shown are the mean +/− SD (Rac1 (n=6), Cdc42 (n=15) and RhoA (n=5); * p < 0.01, **, p < 0.01, student t-test).
