Pregnant mice received an intra-chamber injection of live C. rectus or saline at E7.5. Mice were sacrificed at E14.5 and 16.5 for the analysis of their fetoplacental tissues. Mean placental and fetoplacental weight were significantly different between non-infected controls and C. rectus-infected mice. n values correspond to the number of fetuses or placentas analyzed.
