All residues (except for Gly) can be assigned to any of the four groups (as discussed in the text): the neutral group (Cys, Ser, Thr), the apolar group (Ala, Phe, Ile, Leu, Met, Val), the polar group (Arg, Asp, Asn, Gln, Glu, Lys, Pro), and the aromatic group (His, Trp, Tyr).
