V50 (mV) | k | |
Control | −5.5 ± 2.5 | 4.7 ± 0.5 |
5μM AL | −9.5 ± 3.4 | 3.8 ± 1.0 |
TTX | −9.9 ± 2.9 | 3.2 ± 1.4 |
TTX + AL | −8.6 ± 2.6 | 5.1 ± 1.3 |
GVIA | −6.2 ± 3.1 | 4.8 ± 0.7 |
GVIA + AL | −12.0 ± 3.5a | 5.2 ± 0.4 |
NIM | −2.1 ± 3.5 | 3.6 ± 0.9 |
NIM + AL | −0.90 ± 3.4 | 4.4 ± 0.5 |
Note. Parameters were estimated using the Boltzman equation (G/Gmax = 1/(1 + e−(V − V50)/k)), where V50 is the half-activation voltage and k is a measure of steepness. No significant differences were observed within treatments, except that cells exposed to both GVIA and AL exhibited activation at a significantly more negative potential than cells exposed to GVIA alone. Values are reported as the mean ± SEM, n = 5–7 cells per condition.
Significance from GVIA-treated cells (p < 0.05, paired t-test).
