The ends of loop 2 are shown in bold type. The C terminus of loop 2 ends in helix W. The sequence numbers of the last listed amino acid are shown on the right. Note that loop 2 in myosin V is considerably longer than in myosin II. Myosin IIs have a conserved phenylalanine (red) not present in myosin V. Loop 2 is generally not visible in crystal structures of myosin S1. The exception is Dd, which is short and ordered in two crystal structures.
