Polarized DCs elicit protective immunity in EG7 cancer model. Polarized or LPS matured DCs were prepared as in Fig. 1, pulsed with OVAp and injected s.c. (3 × 10³ cells per mouse) into 5–8 animals per group. Six weeks later, mice were challenged with 3 × 10⁶ EG7 cells. a Tumor growth kinetics were monitored every 2–3 days. An exact two-tailed Wilcoxon test was used to analyze the statistical significance of tumor growth between the treatment groups. b Survival was monitored daily and mice were sacrificed when tumors reached 2 cm in diameter, in accordance with the University of Pittsburgh IACUC protocol.
