Elongation of the Qa1b molecule reduces inhibition of cytokine release. CHO cells expressing the standard Qa1 SCT or its elongated forms Qa1 SCT-CD2, Qa1 SCT-CD22 or Qa1 SCT-CD4 were used as targets with IL-2-expanded CD94/NKG2A/C/E-enriched and CD94/NKG2A/C/E-depleted NK cells in IFN-γ release assays, at an effector to target ratio of 1:5.
